| Comic #110 is upon Ardent Flame!
I don't think that I'll ever try to put so many panels on one page again. I think that I bit off more than I could chew. :) However, I am so happy how this one turned out. Yea! I really, really like the exchange between Purplefire and Argoyle in the last two panels.
Happy weekend!

| Comic #109 is up on Ardent Flame!
Not happy with this one, but right now, it's a comic and it's up on the site. I'm beginning to wonder if putting up a bad comic is better than no comic at all.

| Happy post Thanksgiving to everyone! And now begins the season of Christmas, w00t!
I know that I shouldn't enjoy breaks so much, but I thoroughly enjoyed the past few days off from school and work. I didn't have to make sure to get my son to the bus, I didn't have to wonder if my husband was working late or not, and I didn't have to figure out how to put together a comic for Friday. The family went Christmas shopping for rest of the family on Friday and we had a blast.
I love shopping for gifts for other people. It is so much fun to walk through a store on the look out for a gift for someone that I care about. The only bad part about shopping for such a large group of people is that I will keep finding gifts for one person. For example: I found a lovely gift for my husband's aunt early on during our shopping excursion. Then, we kept finding more and more gifts that she would like. On more than one occasion, my husband and I picked up an item and said, 'Oh wouldn't Auntie love this!', only to glance in the cart and see the item we had picked out for her a half hour ago.

| Comic #108 is up on Ardent Flame!
Things have been nuts over here this past week. Most of what is going on is simply because my son has suddenly begun having problems at school. I have spent my afternoons cringing if my phone rings. In fact, my phone just rang and my heart sank because all I could think was, 'Oh great, it's my son's principal calling again because he has done yet something else wrong.' I have never been so relieved to hear that it was the library calling to tell me that my husband had a book come in that he had on hold.
Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who will be celebrating!

| Woo hoo! Comic #107 is up on Ardent Flame!
Why do backgrounds continue to elude me for this project? It is so hard to come up with stuff to fill up my panels. I wonder if for artists, if it is easier to come up with a background than it is to draw the subjects in the piece. Hmmm.... Anyway, I know that this is something that I need to work on. When I did the initial sketch for #107, I did not have any type of background for the final panel. I am proud to say that I put in the shelf of bottles and the barrels with my drawing tablet. It was something that I had wanted to try, completely freehanding some of the comic. Since it turned out so well, I think that I may keep going down the path of putting in the backgrounds with my drawing tablet.
Happy Friday everyone! | | |
