Woo hoo! Comic #107 is up on Ardent Flame!

Why do backgrounds continue to elude me for this project? It is so hard to come up with stuff to fill up my panels. I wonder if for artists, if it is easier to come up with a background than it is to draw the subjects in the piece. Hmmm.... Anyway, I know that this is something that I need to work on. When I did the initial sketch for #107, I did not have any type of background for the final panel. I am proud to say that I put in the shelf of bottles and the barrels with my drawing tablet. It was something that I had wanted to try, completely freehanding some of the comic. Since it turned out so well, I think that I may keep going down the path of putting in the backgrounds with my drawing tablet.

Happy Friday everyone!

Backgrounds are the hardest part of any drawing for me...I put all my energy into the detail of the subject and then I've nothing left for filling in the blank bits...I have heard other artists say that backgrounds are so easy for them. I should find out why.
